SEMINAR: CONSERVATORSHIP AND RELEASE by Adriana Almada (Paraguay)



Ticio inform that Mr. Escobar was recently appointed Minister of Culture of Paraguay, and due to the size and the compromises typical of this position, has been unable to travel to Salta to make the seminar scheduled for Module 6 THOUGHTS SITE. Instead they held the seminar "curatorial and editorial" by critics and independent curator Adriana Almada Paraguay on the same terms and forms provided.


Seminar " Trustees and editing" . The curatorial and practical production of new meanings and devices. curatorial experiences in the Biennial of Sao Paulo 2008 and the First Triennial of Chile, as in display and editorials in contemporary art.

ABSTRACT

The seminar addresses the curatorship as "poiesis" as "doing" - as practice producing new meanings and devices, as a "poetic" of multiple proceedings in the circumstances and the type and degree of institutionalization of the unfolding. It also considers the curatorial work como generadora de una nueva episteme a partir de la investigación y el desarrollo de un campo de escritura sobre cuestiones contemporáneas que invitan a ser exploradas exhaustivamente, a partir de los diferentes sitios de la mirada.

El curador-editor y el editor-curador como roles intercambiables y/o simultáneos que apuntan a la construcción de significados en límite mismo de la práctica artística. En este marco se abordarán diferentes issues del arte contemporáneo en América Latina y dispositivos de exposición (Bienal de Sao Paulo 2008 y Trienal de Chile 2009).

* Adriana Almada . Writer, editor, art critic and independent curator. P res ident of the International Association of Art Critics - Chapter Paraguay. has been a member of the curatorial team the Cultural Center of the City (Asunción, 2003-2006), executive director of Lighthouse for the Arts (Asunción, 2004-2006), creator of the Salon de Arte Joven Nation and director of the res t first editions (1996, 1998, 2000). He has been coordinator of the Ibero-American shows the Fourth Biennial of Valencia (Spain, 2007). curatorship has made in Paraguay and abroad and consulting for cataloging and stock assessment for institutions and private collectors. He is currently assistant curator, and editorial director of the First Triennial of Chile (2009) and curator for Paraguay, the X International Biennial of Cuenca (Ecuador, 2009). is a member of the Society of Written res of Paraguay and the Paraguayan writer associates. He has published poetry, essays and articles on art and culture .

Liliana Bergesio ( Jujuy). BA in Anthropology. Master in Theory and Methodology of Social Sciences (UNJU). Associate Professor, Social and Cultural Anthropology professor of the Bachelor in Social Communication (UNJU). Researcher and external evaluator of research projects and scientific publications nationally and internationally and a member of the technical-scientific Interdisciplinary Area Studies Women and Gender Faculty of of Humanities and Social Sciences of the UNJU .

Victor Arancibia (Salta). MA in historical studies and literary border. Professor of Introduction to Theories of Social Communication and Theories of Perception in the career of Communication Sciences of National University of Salta and semiotics in the Bachelor of Arts Catholic University of Salta. Participates as a researcher at the Research Council of the UNSA . Produced and directed a cultural TV programs, documentaries and video art by those who earned national awards. Published in national and international journals on mass media and cinema.
